Perhaps the one thing about college that makes it so hard is that students are suddenly faced with taking all responsibility for every part of their life. Most students have never experienced anything like this. Especially if they are living in the dorms or away from home, not only do they have their school work to deal with, but they need to feed themselves, arrange clothing, transportation, make friends, and deal with a whole new level of peer pressure that they could never have imagined back in high school.

Time management in college is extremely difficult because every student is pulled in so many different ways. There are social commitments which are stronger than ever, and there are also academic commitments which may not seem all that important. This is a lethal combination that can get many kids kicked out of school.
